Videos aren't playing properly........
...... in Chrome, Firefox or IE. I am using Windows 8 and none of the browsers are playing the videos correctly, I am using all the current browser versions.
Chrome: videos are sometimes playing half way and shutting off.
Firefox: Most videos are showing video with no sound.
IE: Most videos are playing sound with no video.
As you can see, there are issues for each one. I have cleared caches several time with no results. Does anybody have another answer???
Thanks,
James
Thank you for the reports, we're looking into what might be going on here. Vrwried, are you on Windows 8 as well?
As of August 12th, 2013, I am having this same problem: I am using Windows 8, Firefox 24.0 browser. I get video playback with no sound.
Hi Jason, thank you for mentioning this. Does Chrome work okay for you? We'll take a look at Firefox on Windows 8 as soon as we can.
Cheers,
Chris
On win7 and firefox 23.0.1, when putting on a video firefox crashes immediately. On Chrome 29.0.1547.62 the videos sometimes begin but the browser gets stuck at some point and I have to restart the browser. On safari 5.1.7 the videos don't start.
As you can imagine, I am a bit disappointed and somewhat irritated that I can't access the videos I payed for :O Am I missing something?!
Hi Vagkos,
Yes, I can definitely imagine your disappointment, I'm sorry for the troubles you're having. In general, Windows users don't seem to have a problem on Firefox or Chrome. Safari 5 does have some issues, though version 6 seems to work well.
I'm not sure what's going on with Firefox to cause it to crash, but I'm curious of clearing the browser's cache would have any effect.
In regards to Chrome dropping video mid-way through playing, we've discovered that some of our users who connect via certain nodes end up having unreliable transfer, but our host has been unable to duplicate the problem.
Please feel free to open up a ticket at http://buildamodule.com/contact , and we can see what we can do about some additional troubleshooting.
Again, my apologies for the issues, hopefully we can get this resolved.
Sincerely,
Chris
First of all thank you for your immediate answer! After clearing cache, history and restarting firefox, videos play as expected. I am very happy to access your material.
Thank you again
