add content redirects to node/add/tour
Hello,
I'm not sure how this happened, but I can't figure out how to fix it. Whenever I try to add new content, it redirects to node/add/tour instead of letting me choose which type of content I want to add.
Thanks
according to /admin/structure/types. These include article, basic page, guide, members and tour. The one it automatically goes to is tour.
Thanks for your help with this.
Oh, that's weird! Thanks for listing out those other Content Types. I'm assuming that means that, if you were to manually go to /node/add/page, then you would be able to create a Basic page like normal.
There's only other thing that I can think of offhand that may be causing this, and that is if your Navigation menu is missing shortcut links to create your other content types.
If you go to Structure > Menus > Navigation to reach /admin/structure/menu/manage/navigation, you should have a Parent link titled "Add content" with some children links to "node/add/(content-type-name-here)". In your case, I'm guessing that you either 1) only have an "Add Tour" link or 2) the "Add Tour" link is the only link that is enabled.
If that is indeed the case, you can either 1) create your "missing" links, following the "Add Tour" link as a guideline or 2) enable the other links by checking the "Enabled" box.
This was the problem. Did I do something wrong in the setup causing the other content types to not be enabled?
Thanks again!
Awesome! I'm glad this was such an easy fix.
I'm not sure what might have caused the problem, but maybe we can just chalk this one up to Gremlins. ;D
What you are describing can occur if there is only one content type to choose from, be it from deletion/removal or lack of proper access. You can check to see if this may be the case by using your administrative menu and navigating to Structure > Content Types to reach /admin/structure/types. From there, you can view all the content types available.
